“Good value and great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2009

There are number of hotels in New York who can learn some lessons from the Baci with regards cleanliness and staff attitude. I am happy to state that I have rarely stayed in hotel at this price point which is as clean as the Baci. It might not be the most elegantly decorated but everything functions and is as I said is spotless. The onsite restaurant has a chef who spent 25 years in the Germany and cooks everything to order from fresh ingredients, hardly anything frozen. Combine that with all the staff who are friendly and helpful and a free internet access which is fast and why would you stay anywhere else? Did I mention the free laundry service as part of the room price.
Location just across the road from the Victory and shops / supermarket 3 min walk.

“Happy with my choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2009

There are probably cheaper options in Pristina but some of them seemed more uncertain options or weren't convenient if you didn't have your own transport, so still glad I chose this one. It's still not quite as central as some of the other hotels, although Pristina is small enough for it not to matter - the city centre is approximately 20 mins walk away up one of the two main roads going south.

Colourfully decorated room with lots of storage space, extra bedding and even a pair of fluffy slippers! Wi Fi connection was reliable throughout and the tv had access to several dozen channels from neighbouring countries and the rest of Europe (although I had to reconnect the satellite box to stop the picture pixellating). Air conditioning too, not that it was really necessary in September but would have been invaluable in the summer.

Used the restaurant once for lunch and had a perfectly serviceable, generously sized omelette.

“Three cheers for the Baci!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2008

I was surprised and delighted when I walked into the Baci for the first time --- the lobby was classy with its decorated tile floor and tasteful color scheme. And my room proved to be just as classy --- no ugly art decorating the walls, a pretty carpet and walls painted in Victorian tones of blue, mauve and green. There were lots of channels to choose from on the TV, including BBC World and CNN International. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of hot water and I got fresh towels every day. The breakfast offered a good variety of cheese, cold cuts, joghurt, two kinds of cereals, cooked eggs and sausage, orange juice, along with coffee or tea. But what made my stay at the Baci truly delightful were the staff members, from the housekeeper and concierge to the people who worked in the hotel's restaurant. They were all genuinely friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. And free laundry service and internet service are two big extras that make the stay there worthwhile. The Baci is located on the edge of Prishtina, just about half an hour from the airport. Don't let the fact that it isn't centrally located deter you from staying there --- it's a nice walk of only 10-15 minutes to the city center, and if you prefer, cabs are a real bargain. If you want to feel truly welcome in Prishtina, the Baci is the place to stay.

“Further praise for the Baci”

I concur with the other review. The Baci is the perfect platform from which to see the many delights of 'the city with no river'.

The Baci doesn't feel like a UN outpost, which can't be said for the larger hotels in the city, with helpful, attentive and genuinely engaging service from the moment one steps foot in the understated elegance of the foyer.

Puts many hotels with big reputations to shame. The Baci typifies the friendly, bright ambiance of the distinctive city of Pristhina.

“Friendly service, but room standard not good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 April 2006

My room at the Baci was quite large, but the standard was not what business travelers would require. Heating did not work properly, shower faucet fell apart when opened, there was a lingering smell of sewage, and the TV did not work. Moreover, the bedside lamp was situated a good four feet from the bed, making nighttime reading difficult.

However, staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant served great food and even provided a smoke-free corner for us.
