My father was taken to hospital in Risan having suffered a heart attack whilst on a cruise nearby.

Expectations of the hotel were not high given some reviews on trip advisor. BUT very happy with the service there!

Admittedly, the services are fairly basic (shower doesn't have a wall attachment, for example). However that sort of thing is more than taken account of by the current 2 star rating.

Rooms are clean and well air conditioned.
Breakfast is typical of 'Old Yugoslavia' ... Plenty of choice in buffet form.
Nice swimming area in sea.
Lovely attached restaurant / bar.
There is even free wireless Internet access in the lobby ... extremely useful for keeping mobile costs down!
Most importantly, service was excellent and very honest. Not all reception staff speak English but they do work hard to understand and they went extra mile in providing us car to hospital free, for example. Our family are very grateful to them.

We just needed a place for a night , after a long drive from Zablijak.
The sign outside says its a 3 star ,(later the receipt said its a 2 star and I wouldn't even give it half a star) so we thought it wouldn't be too bad. Didnt care the room wasnt too new , and that the bathroom hasnt been renovated since the 70's - we just wanted a clean place to sleep and shower. But there was no hot water ... the guy in the reception told us to leave the water running for 10 ~ 15 mins.... of course there was no hot water even then.
Breakfast was also inedible.

This most honestly be one of the most horrible hotel experienses EVER. The hotel is located next to a nice fjord in a little village called Risan.

The hotel itself is easily spotted because it is a huge grey sement block. The rooms have molded carpets, outdated furnitures, and smells pretty bad. The bathroom was disgustingly decorated with brown tiles, was rusty, and there were a number of dead flies in the shower. The bed was only 1,70 long and the madrass was not good. The room had a balcony with a nice view over the fjord, but it was very worn out.

The breakfast was very basic, and they did not offer water or juice for drinking, only coffee. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Stayed in Teuta Hotel for 3 nights in the end of May 2008. Actually the hotel is situated in Risan - a small town around 16-18 kms from town Kotor. The hotel is old and needs renovation. In our room we did not have A/C, telephone, minibar, hairdresser so really it is rather 2 stars hotel than the awarded 3. There was a small TV that was not working properly and even the remote control was without batteries and it was difficult to change channels manually. Towels are old and also worn out, there were stains on the carpet and rust in the bathroom. The furniture is also worn out. The rooms have balconies with nice view of the Kotor-Risan Bay. The food as a whole was okay. However, the breakfast was all the same every day, there was not offered neither water nor juice, just instant coffee, hot chocolate and tea. The staff does not speak english well. There is free internet access in the lobby on the ground floor but just one pc, which is usually occupied.

As a whole this is really a budget hotel and if somebody wants at least some basic amenities and not so old interior better stay away of it.
