We wanted to stay overnight so we had more time to explore the area. The hotel was conveniently situated within the walled city. We had to haul our luggage from the pay parking lot on the dock to the hotel because no vehicular traffic is permitted within the walls. This was not a problem because the distance was short, on the flat and well paved. The room was dark and rather cramped and the interior window looked at another one 6 feet away. Smoke from the bar area drifted up the stairs and into the room. The breakfast was served in a pleasant dining room and was good: you could order a cooked breakfast from a menu.
