My wife and I spent 3 nights there at the end of January. We wanted to stay somewhere central so that in the evenings we could park the car and walk to nearby restaurants and bars.
The hotel was located within the walls of Kotor which is a lovely compact town.
As we were visiting off season the room rate was very reasonable (Euro 60 per room per night). The staff were very friendly and informative. Some spoke English fluently and the others had the basics.
The room was plain but very clean and spacious. There was no safe deposit box and no hairdrier. Valuables could, however, be left in reception for safe keeping. There is no elevator and we had to carry our (light) suitcases up a couple of flights of stairs. I am sure that had we been struggling, assistance would have been available.
The breakfast menu was multi-lingual and whilst choice was very limited, we had omelettes that were cooked to perfection. The coffee was also of a very high standard. We had a drink in the small bar, and the local wine was reasonably priced. We did not have an evening meal there, but I was told by other guests that the food was of a good standard.
Now a note of caution!. We were in room 10 on the 2nd floor (3rd, if you are American) and it was quite noisy. It did not stop us sleeping, (but might have done so in high season) but there was a lot of noise in the mornings as bins were taken down the cobbled streets to be emptied in the main square.
As we were early risers this was not a major problem for us.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return to visit Kotor in the future.
