I've stayed in several establishments in Lviv and this is one of my new favorites. I arrived late, after a very long day of travel. I did not have a reservation and was grateful for the friendly and efficient desk person who checked me in. Unfortunately, the service was nowhere near as good when I checked out with different staff members the following morning. The attitude wasn't terrible, just not what I'd hoped for given the quality/price range of the hotel.
The hotel itself was nice and my room was clean, comfortable and very quiet. The bed and linens were nice and a set of bathrobes and slippers were also available. The adjustable AC was working fine and the wifi had a good strong signal. The breakfast included was fine. I went just before the breakfast buffet closed, so the room was nearly empty, but see how it might get crowded during peak hours.
Hotel Opera is in a great location with many transportation options to the train station, airport or various bus stations. Many small shops, restaurants, and two grocery stores are located only steps outside of the hotel. If you want to stay in a nice centrally located hotel, with English speaking support, this is a great option.
