Location: right in the centre, a few minutes' walk from the historic sights, from and from some useful shops. Easily accessible but further afield: the High Castle, the main university buildings. Rooms: comfortable and well-equipped. Mine had a view over the balconies of an ageing tenement on the other side of a small courtyard; but this was interesting, not a downside. Breakfast: generous buffet, well laid-out (I heard complaints that it was in the basement but I was more bothered by the TV broadcast of a boxing match (!!) than by that). Restaurant: on the top floor with excellent views. The meal I ate there could not be faulted. Staff: patient and helpful - they reliably posted letters for me when I didn't have time toi get stamps. All in all, a very good hotel experience.
