Grand Hotel Lviv

First impression is that the hotel have good location (city center), an appropriate decor, all necessary facilities and large rooms. Staff is well trained, pleasant and responsive. Breakfast is good as well as a restaurant foods.
 Now I'd like to report about few minor issues, I am faced with: 

A fitness leisure is out of the main hotel building and at least about a mile ago. 

Second problem was at the day, when I came down to my room and found that an extra bed was dressed up for an extra guest.
 I was not informed about roommate! Of cause that was made by mistake, but what a silly surprise.

Finally, when I've placed an order for takeaway breakfast due to earlier check-out, ta-dam... There was no lunchbox at the reception, they forgot about my request.

Definitely, for the hotel management that's a lot of things to work on.

We stayed in a standard room which had a very nice and modern bathroom, comfortable bed and a great buffet breakfast on the sidewalk patio. Hotel lobby and stairwell are beautiful, the "standard" room is plain but sufficient.

We asked for an iron the first morning at reception, the maid handed it to us as we got off the elevator on the third floor. The service is excellent.

The Grand Hotel provided us with a comfortable stay when we were there. We found the bed comfy, the A/C appreciated, the bathroom good, and the breakfast delicious (the yogurt/cereal bar was great, as was the selection of sweet breads). The room also had a mini-fridge which was quite the luxury in Ukraine and we enjoyed it. That being said, we found the hotel a little expensive and not necessarily worth the price. We ate in the restaurant one night and found the food to be the same quality as most other restaurants in L'viv, but at a much higher price ($50 CDN where similar meals at other places were $20 CDN). All in all, a fine place to stay if you don't mind paying for the name and little else.

Great location - in the very city center, close to all places of interest, restaurants, etc. Comparing to other hotels in Lvov, Grand has rather good breakfast. Lobby might make u think u r in luxury hotel - but this feeling disappears as soon as u go up to the floor and open the door of the room.... bathroom is less then overage - before hot water runs u need to wait for a couple of min, little towels... bed not comfortable. if u need to spend 1 night - will be ok. while checking in, even if u smoke - do not agree with smoking rooms - it stinks... as if it's a smoking bar... from previous guest seems like they never open windows. maybe i was so lucky... who knows - probably u might have more luck. nice reception stuff -will always help you, lots of security in hotel - gives feeling of being safe...
In general if u want to feel safe being in the city center, close to everything that worth seeing in lviv - go for this hotel
