Cool place in the city with nice people to welcome you! Atmosphere is great too, but you must go to see it!

I stayed in this hostel on my first days in Lviv. i got a taxi from the main train station for 30 grivnas and went there directly, as i arrive on the late night train.

I had no reservation so I was actually lucky to get a bed.

The hostel staff are really polite and helpful, always trying to direct you and showing you the best places to go.

I stayed on the kitchen room, the cheapest due to be close to the kitchen which has early morning noise, so, not suitable for the party people. for me that i like to get up early, sound perfect.

this hostel is just 5 minutes away from the Chevchenko square and the opera, so, better located than this its impossible.

This hostel is the epitome of what adventure travel is all about. Winner of the Hostelworld, Best Hostel in Ukraine award for 2008, this hostel is Australian owned. On arrival at the hostel we went up a staircase to the hostel itself. Reception staff greeted us and checked us in quickly. They gave us loads of information about the area, where to eat and what we could do without us even asking. There is an Internet terminal plus free wifi if you have a laptop/netbook.

Inside the hostel reception you will notice lots of antiques, helmets, uniforms and militaria to give that Kosmonaut vibe. A large mural of a cosmonaut appears on the wall. All the staff speak good English but lots of them are locals or have lived in Lviv for a long time so they can advise you on any issue you might have.

On the first night, the owner and his brother came out with us to a local pub. We found throughout our stay that there was a friendly vibe and we got to know most of other guests at the hostel. It was a really good atmosphere to meet other people.

The facilities at the hostel are better than I have found at other hostels I've stayed. Of course you have shared bathroom facilities, clean and tidy with a power shower. Rooms are dorm type with bunk beds but private rooms are also available. There were also washing facilities available for washing clothes.

What really sets this hostel apart from the rest is the friendly, relaxed vibe which runs through it and it's helpful staff. I'd definately like to return here and recommend it to anyone.

This place is an oasis for any traveler. It's centrally located, extremely clean, interesting, warm, and fun to be part of. Staff are all charming, helpful young people with excellent English. Nice breakfast (coffee, bread, cheese, fruit, milk, juice) included in the cozy sitting room/kitchen area. And there's hot water in the shower and drinking water in the kitchen!
