“great place to stay!”

i loved the villa! anna was so nice and helpful! she even offered to send us a cab because she knew they take high prices for tourist, she suggested to arrange a car for us or a boat trip and all with a smile! the breakfast was very good and included eggs and cheese not just coffee and sweets, the villa is lovely, the only problem is there is no lift and also the air conditioner made strange noises , also the place doesn't except credit cards but anna said next year they will. i highly recommend the staff is friendly and there's parking. also there's a great restaurant near by.

“A great place to stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 September 2010

We, (group of 3 girls) stayed for 4 nights. Ana arragned an airport pick up for, which was great as we were arriving late and just what we wanted for handiness. We ad an apartment which was 1 double bedroom, bathroom, kitch/living area which had a double bed. The room also had a sofa, dining table and chairs and just about everything you'd need in a kitchen. There was a balcony with garden furniture and a washing line. The fridge was stocked with a few drinks, (mini bar). There was also another room/large corridor which had another sofa and some gym equipment - it was handy for bags! Ana and her staff were really very helpful (not over the top - still left you to yourself but gave great advice and were there whenever we needed). Breakfast was fine - tea/coffee, orange juice, boiled egg, bread, selection of cold meats and sliced cheese, apples and oranges. Plenty for us. Cost wise we paid €340 in total, (€28 ea per night). There's the usual €1 per person per night tax and the taxi to and from the airport, but overall we felt this was great value! Bus stop into old town is only a very short stroll away abd buses are every 10 mins. Cost €1 per trip. We took the bus into the old town all the time and usually a taxi back which because there were 3 of us this was actually a little cheaper!! Taxis late at night are few and we had to wait a while.

“VERY COMFORTABLE BIG ROOM GREAT BREAKFAST BUT OVERPRICED”

My husband and I flew to Zadar with Ryanair from Dublin and the owner Anna had arranged with us to be picked up from the airport by taxi. This cost us €20 and would have cost twice that if we had not arranged it with Anna. Our room was large with a surprise by way of a kitchen tucked away in a corner of the room consisting of hob, sink, and fridge also an ensuite. Big comfortable bed low to floor but this was not a problem. This is a very large guesthouse which is run very well by Anna. Nearby you will find a restaurant which was great for us having arrived late at night. There is a wonderful terrace with sea views for guests to use. Breakfast was included and consisted of fruit, eggs, bread and tea/coffee and was available in their large dining room. We paid €77 which I feel is overpriced considering that we looked at several apartments in the same area priced on average at €30 per night for an apartment for two people. This was a quiet time as it was the last week in August and we would have had no problem in getting any of the apartments we called in to see. We were going on to Split and there was a bus which was not expensive and would take three and a half hours stopping at various villages along the coast. We decided however to take a taxi which would use the motorway and takes an hour and a half. This cost €100 and we shared this with another Irish couple staying at Villa Valentina . Zadar itself is very nice and be sure to visit the sea organ. N.B. You must pay in cash.

“Wonderful!”

This was a fantastic place to stay! The owners were so accomodating and helpful, the staff were friendly and courteous. It is located close to the ocean and a comfortable (and beautiful) walk to the Old City. We were offered the option to have a pick-up at the airport which turned out to be a great choice. There was a car there waiting for us and he drove up directly to Villa Valentina, it was so convenient! We chose to use this service again when we were leaving town (which was several hours after we checked out - we left our luggage at the hotel and arranged a pick-up spot just outside the Old City, he was there exactly on time!). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to this beautiful city!

“Good value and location and friendly people”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 September 2009

Villa Valentine offers good spacious accommodation with the possibility of self catering. The rooms are clean and well presented and the accommodation is located in a residential area not far from the sea and an easy drive into the old town. The owners are very welcoming and friendly and when we arrived in the middle of a torrential downpour even came out to find us as we could not see any directions. We were given plenty of help in finding our way around and making the most of the locality. We used this as a stopping off point before travelling south to the Split area and found more than enough to occupy ourselves. Breakfast was adequate but would have been enhanced by some fresh fruit juice rather than squash. We would definitely go again.
