Me and my husband decide to visit Dubrovnik once. Lonely Planete guide book we found Silva Apartments. We tried to send an e-mail to make a reservation, but we didnt succseed, later on we discovered that adress was not in use any more,they changed e mail. (silva_dubrovnik@yahoo.com). Then we called her mobile phone from our country (Egypt) and she gave us full info about the apartments, country, city of dubrovnik and all usefull info. The date we arrived she met us at the airport of dubrovnik, like we agreed before. On the way from the airport to the apartments she made us the small exursion, explaining about goods in dubrovnik. When we arrived we found more then we were expecting.There are 2 best views for the city in dubrovnik. First one is Silva aprts, then the view from the city walls, which u must to visit one day. Location of the aprst is perfectp beach, restourants, old town, shopping center, bus stations. Aprst is very modern , spacy, clean. The most we liked- the terrace with the perfect view and nice terrace, where we used to make burbecy very often. Also- beautiful garden, full of lemon and orange trees. We ve spend beatiful 10 days in that place. Now we are in love with Croatia, Dubrovnik and Silva family))).

We booked one apartament and when silva, herself picked up us from the airport took us to another different one, very good one in the center of the ld town, but other one. I think they did with good intencion but imagin arriving with two childs and they change your apartament. In the other hand the apartament was clean, fully furnitured and impssible to be more centrica and cheap. The day we leaved Croatia we had an appointment with silva to pick up us and take to the airport and we still waiting for her...

We found Silva Apartments through Lonely Planet - and Silva herself came and picked us up from the airport. We were charmed by her hospitality and that of her family. The mansion is located in the Lapad district of Dubrovnik and has a stunning view over Lapad Bay. The beaches are close, and so are the restaurants as well as the primary attraction - the Dubrovnik Old City. We can warmly recommend staying at Silva's, and if we return to Dubrovnik we would go there again.

I stayed at Silva's with a group of four girlfriends, and we can highly recommend it as excellent budget accommodation. Silva herself is delightful: she met us at the bus station so we could follow in our car, drove us to the supermarket so we didn't get lost, and even baked us Croatian pastries! She has a range of accommodation on offer, and while I'm sure the rooms on the upper floor are preferable (better light and views) we had the benefit of an outdoor courtyard on the lower level. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though of the backpacker standard rather than a pricier b&b. The beds were nothing special, and while good value for the price, the rooms were on the dingy side. The courtyard was fabulous, though - and given the Croatian climate, we spent most of our time eating and relaxing outside. The kitchen has everything you need to self-cater.
