If you want a short break in Dubrovnik and you want to be right in the Old Town without spending a fortune, this is a great option. It's really easy to get to from the entrance to the old town and you feel right in the middle.

While I've given this a three star, that's an honest appraisal of the rooms you get. They certainly are not bad, they were clean and tidy and perfect for two nights but they are small, decor isn't anything special and neither is the furniture.

The owners were very friendly and helpful

We had just come in to Dubrovnic from a week of cycling and had about 10kg of dirty laundry and not much to wear so we asked Anka where we could get the laundry done. She said she would do it and refused to take any money for the service. All our clean skivvies were hanging on the line in the narrow steep staired street when we came home on day 2 of our stay. You won't find such wonderful service just anywhere. Thank you Anka for being so kind and generous. David and Ruth Ward

Anke, the owner met us at the rooms. We had a 2 room apartment with fridge, which was very useful. The rooms were basic but clean, however the location was brilliant. Yes, there are a few steps involved, however the location is quiet at night, with only a few seconds to be in the hub of the old town. There are kids in the apartment above, but they go to sleep early enough not to be an issue. Anke was extremely helpful in helping us with onward travel plans.

Up a fairly steep set of stairs in the old town of Dubrovnik, Guesthouse Vicelic comprises rooms in several different buildings. Our unit, designed for 3 people, was thankfully on the main floor so no additional steps once there. The unit was very basic - 2 beds, tv, bathroom, small fridge, a small table and coffee making supplies. But reasonably quiet - no street noise to speak of (which is a big deal in old town Dubrovnik). Some internal noise within the building, though not late at night. Less than 3 minute walk to main street; 5 minutes to the wall. And overall a good deal for the price.
