My fiancee and I took a 10 day trip to Croatia in May 2011. Our first stop was in Dubrovnik. We arrived after traveling for approximately 20 hrs. and all we wanted to do was drop our stuff off, take a shower, and explore. Unfortunately we arrived earlier than originally expected and the place was locked. Luckily my phone worked and we were able to call the number and someone came by within 5 minutes of our call to help us out, check us in, and show us to our room.
The room was on the second floor and had a double bed with a toilet and shower. The room was small and sparsely decorated, but cozy, clean, and charming. It also had air conditioning which was great considering it was very warm still during the nights. Anka, the owner (I believe) was very helpful in pointing us out to some of the eateries in Old Town and spoke excellent English.
Really though what makes this place is the value and its proximity inside of Old Town Dubrovnik. We were within a 5 minute walk of anything you would want to see and tour in Old Town and if we needed to drop something off at our room or get something we forgotten it was extraordinarily convenient.
I would definitely stay here again for the hospitality and service, great proximitiy to Old Town, and the value.
