This apartment is perfectly located in the heart of the old city of Dubrovnik. The decor is very charming and comfortable and the view from the bedroom and kitchen is to the lovely Gundulic square where a market takes place every morning. We had lunch on arrival at Kamenice where they prepared a perfect octopus salad. On the last night we had a delicious fish dinner at Arka immediately to the right of our building. Also,if you are looking for traditional embroidered blouses check a small store called Bacan next to the old synagogue. At the gallery adjacent to the synagogue we also bought a copy of the Sarajevo's Hagadah printed in the 1980's in Lyublyana. Breakfast from "Niko" was memorable, I specially recommend their strudel and sandwiches.
Tonci, our landlord was very nice and friendly. He helped us bringing down our luggage and was very kind to give us a ride to the bus station on our departure day . Talking with him we found out a bit about the life of Dubrovnik's citizens which is something one cannot learn from a tourist guide.
Be light on your luggage load because the apartment is on the first floor and since it is an old building there is no elevator. Instead, there is a cat.

Wonderful location! Not only was this apartment reached on the flat, it was in the central square in the walled city. Gundulic Square has a street market in the morning, lots of restaurants with colorful awnings, and a handy supermarket. The owner met us at the Pila Gate and pulled our bags to the apartment and up to the third floor. Our airy and sunny room was beautifully furnished with traditional furniture but had a modern bathroom. Three shuttered windows overlooked the Square, and despite the bustle and down below during the day, the room was quiet at night. The separate kitchen had a full stove, table and chairs and was great for breakfast and snacks. The owners were wonderful and drove us to the airport at the end of our stay. We enjoyed the experience and will return.

My father and I stayed here for two nights and could not have been more pleased by the service we received. Tonci speaks very good English and he picked us up at the bus station like he said he would in previous emails. He even helped us carry some of our things to the apartment. It is in a wonderful location right next to the fruit and veggie market, and near many of the attractions. it was great to go to the symphony and walk 30 seconds back to our room. What a treat. We ate at the restaurant (fish and calamari place) right next to the apartment and we very happy with our meals and the price of our meal. The kitchen in our room was great to have as we could cook a simple breakfast before we went out exploring for the day. The bathroom was very clean and had hot water. The huge and beautiful windows and front door are features I still remember a year after my trip. We would highly recommend these apartments to any traveler. We were also pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the beds were.

Had a wonderful week in Dubrovnik, and in this apartment. A fantastic location. I cannot praise Tonci and his wife enough, they are lovely people and were so helpful. We were there for a wedding, and unfortunately some other guests did not have the same experience with their landlords.
Tonci picked us up from the airport and his wife met us at the city walls and walked us through the town to our apartment.
I cant recommend this place highly enough and will certainly be back :)
