I find it hard to find fault with this hotel. Clean, good breakfast buffet and attentive staff.
It is about a 15min walk to the old city but bus services are available a short distance away.

Would return to this hotel again and will recommend to friends in the future.

We stayed at this hotel while on an auto trip through Europe. We chose the hotel because of good reviews, easy access to the city, and free parking. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff, especially Goran, was very helpful. We had a nice view from our balcony of the surrounding area. The room had a small old tv, but a great shower. Wifi only worked in the lobby, even though the staff insisted it should work in the room. The breakfastwas very nice also.
The hotel is located in a suburb of Dubrovnik. The area is very hilly, and we took a few walks in this area, for dinner, and to sight see. We rode the bus (stop about a block away) to the historic part of the city. This was better than driving and worrying about limited parking. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay there again if we ever return to Dubrovnik.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in July 2011. The location is not all that great, as it will take you approximately 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach and about 30-40 minutes to walk to the old town. The is a couple of bus routes that pass by quite frequently, but the buses always seemed to be very full and we usually ended up taking a taxi.

The hotel itself is quite what you would expect - our room was nice, about average size and had a balcony. The bathroom wasn't very big, but it was clean and had a shower instead of a bath tub. The breakfast was good - eggs, bacon and sausages, as well as a variety of bread, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt and fresh fruit.

If you don't mind walking (wich isn't too bad - there's always a nice sea breeze to cool you down) or you are okay with taking a taxi when you're heading in to the old town, this hotel will do for you :-)

If Dubrovnik is one of your stops, the Ivka is a clean, modern, cost effective and convenient property. Traveling to the Old CITY is convenient on the #4 bus coming and going. The #6 bus is acceptable going into the old city but is a steep climb coming back to the hotel. I did not plan to stay in Dubrovnik for 5 days but was disembarked by my cruise ship for health reasons and the cruise line selected the Ivka. I could not have picked a better hotel to take care of our personal and travel needs.
