AMAZING! Honestly can't say much more. Yes there are stairs down to the old town but I actually quite liked keeping active whilst we're away especially accompanying all the complimentary beers and hearty breakfasts we were provided.... needed some exercise to burn the calories!! Thanks Milo and family!

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights at the start of September 2011. Milo the owner and his family are he star attraction here - exceptionally friendly, helpful and a good laugh. Rooms are modern and we had one with air-conditioning which was needed with the heat. The pool is a major plus here, it being great to either laze around in the day or dip into at the end of the day and enjoy a free draught beer or juice from Milo's kitchen/bbq area. Yes there are steps here but it's no big deal. It's a 15 minutes walk down into town and you don't need to tackle the walk back as the No 3 bus drops you off right outside and is only 10 kuna from town. The plus of being high up is he great view by the pool or over your breakfast table. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's one of those places that actually truly deserves it's lonelyplanet recommendation. 

I stayed at Villa Klaic over the last 3 days, 29th of aug till this morn, 1st of sept 2011.
All I can say is why am I writing Milo and Johnny a review? Then everyone else will want to stay! What a fab guesthouse, sooo clean, great breakfast, sweet little pool and free beer all day long! Oh did I mention the view, with the view comes the 472 steps to the heart of the old town, Stradun(sp). Great if you are like me and still want to excerise on your hol's but if you don't want the excerise....taxi's are fairly cheap to this location.
PLEASE DON'T STAY....HOW WILL I EVER GET A ROOM NEXT TIME!!!!

Villa Klaic is just outside the old town of Dubrovnik, up some 480 steps... but don't let that put you off. It is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are very friendly. Milo, the host, is warm, welcoming and always has time for advice on the best places to see/visit. The rooms are neat, bathrooms clean. Ours had an airconditioning unit and fan - essentials in the summer months. The breakfasts are great and buffet style. It has a wonderful extra of a swimming pool overlooking the city below... for chilling out after climbing the steps! :-)
There is parking opposite, just off the main road (8) and it is free, and while we had no problem finding a space, it does involve steps down with cases etc... again though, the staff were more than happy to assist.

All in all, we couldn't recommend it higher. In an expensive city, it offers character, charm, great hospitality and exceptional value for money. Enjoy!
