I read the review of the hostel on European hostels website and it sounded fab, however the place was a nightmare. Not only was it over priced but it was THE noisiest place i have ever stayed. Although it is double glazed the windows have to be kept open as there is no air con, so it is a no win situation. The hostel is on the busiest road in the Old Town and it is never quiet, not even in the middle of the night, this is not helped by the extremely noisy exhausts of local vehicles, particularly motorbikes. I cannot emphasise enough how noisy it is and how fustrating to be charged a price for a room that basically can't be slept in. I have stayed in hostels all over the world and this is definately at the bottom of my list. Please don't waste your money here.

Although the landlord of the building was very friendly, the 'agent' or the person who we dealt with and who collected us at the airport was VERY disorganised and seemed to forget we needed a return trip to the airport. Plus i felt he was constantly trying to rip me off making up prices and trying to add on charges. Dubrovnik is such a nice place so don't ruin a brilliant holiday by staying here i definately made that mistake.
