“Heaven on Earth....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2010

My husband and I stayed here in October and we found it very hard to leave...
Upon arrival we were met by Marouska (? Spelling) who runs the apartments with her husband Bojo (?spelling). We were shown to our Apartment and can only say we had such a friendly and personable welcoming. Marouska was so helpful with advice on things to do and see. She also pointed out that their was a supermarket about a 5- 10 minute walk away from the Apartment. This was very handy as we used it most days and it has everything that you need.
The Apartment itself was very spacious and the views from the balcony were amazing. We sat most nights looking out onto the Adriatic watching the Old Town to our right, looking across onto the beautiful island of Locram and watching ships and boats coming and going. It is the most amazing view. In the morning when we woke up, from our bed we could see the Adriatic and watch the Boats that were docking. It truly is amazing.
The Apartment had a large living area, with well equipped kitchen. Spacious bathroom and we also had a spare room. The patio was also amazing and we ate out there most mornings.
The old town was a 15 minute walk for us. Yes you do have to climb down steps to get there but at times we walked on the road which took longer but avoided the steps. To be fair we did not find the steps that bad. However you have both options available so that was good.
And Finally the Hosts. They are the nicest , kindest and most helpful people that I have ever come across. They cannot do enough for you. We had been out all day on a very long day trip and the weather was absolutely terrible that day. There was floods running down the hill near the Apartment. Anyway when myself and my husband got in, Marouska had cooked dinner for us and had left it on the side for us. I cant tell you how nice that was as we were absolutely soaked to the skin and did not fancy going to the shop to again get soaked!!!
THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH FOR MAKING OUR HOLIDAY SO PERFECT......
We will definately be returning......

“Amazing views, friendly, helpful owners and great apartments”

The view from the apartments is amazing- over the old town, island and a birds eye view of the super yachts in the harbour. The rooms are clean and comfortable with the family on hand with help and advice whenever you need them. We were also given free Wifi which was really valuable given the cost of data roaming to the UK from Croatia.

Other reviews are right, its about a 15 minute walk to the old town with some steep steps (approx 150). However, I wouldn't let this put you off. You can walk a different way which adds about 5 minutes but means no steps, alternatively there's a bus stop 50m from the apartments (no steps to get there) with very regular buses to the old town, Cavtat and Lapad. You can also get a taxi down for about £5.

We've just got home to a wet UK and are sorely missing our terrace with such a special view

“beautiful veiw”

The sipa appartments were family run and the hosts were lovely and very welcoming. The veiw from our appartment was stunning (apartment e). The apartment was clean and modern. I would deffinately recommend the sipa apartments and would return, but be warned that although it is about a 20min walk to the old town you have to climb up and down approximately 150 steep steps each time you go pretty much anywhere in the town!!

As for the walking from the Old town it is not such a problem as
here presented. From the north entrance of the Old town one
can walk directly by the road to the Sipa, without steps, or one
can walk directly using the road that does the oval circle(we are on
the upper side of that circle, without steps too). There are
different steps that connect upper and lower side of the circle,
while the steps that lead from reception of hotel Argentina are in shade and not
that exhaustive(approx.150 smaller steps). There are shorter
steps immediatelly after Old town that lead to the upper side of
that oval circle too.

“What A Great View”

I have just stayed at Sipa Apartments with my sister and a friend and we had a wonderful time. The apartment was quite spacious and the view from our balcony was simply beautiful and will remain with us for a very long time. Our wonderful hosts, Božo and Maruška, made us extremely welcome and were always on hand if we needed any assistance. The position was perfect for us - just 10 minutes from the Old Town. There were quite a few steps to climb to reach the apartment, but well worth it for that view! We look forward to returning one day.

“Best views from accomodation i have ever had”

I went with friends for a Hen Party. There were 10 of us and we made to feel so welcome and were presented with Croatian beers and home made strudle on our arrival. The appartments were roomy and has spectacular views. Though we were probably not their usual type of clientel the owners made us all feel very welcome. I would recommend these apartments to anyone wishing to visit Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik old town is fantastic with amazing buildings, views, bars, places to eat and even a few small night clubs. SIPA appartments were well situated for access to all Dubrovik has to offer. Highly recommended!
