“Heavenly!”

Sipping champagne and watching the sun set from this cafe on the cliffs outside the old walls was the highlight of our stay in Dubrovnik. Buza isn't glitzy -- bottled drinks with plastic cups are served at basic metal tables and chairs -- but the gorgeous views and mellow vibe (Sinatra tunes and palm trees) give it a certain old-school elegance. As mentioned by others, the drinks might be a tad more expensive, but the location is priceless. We stumbled across it while wandering around the old city -- look for the wooden "Cold Drinks" sign -- and as one friend put it, stepping through the little door in the wall into the warm sun on Buza's terrace is "like walking into heaven."

“Well worth a stop.”

Hey, it's a bar! Great views, cold beer. Maybe a tad more than you'd pay elsewhere in town but not significantly more. My wife and I had an apartment for 6 days and visited often. While I could not say the service was great I must say it was not bad. Nor were the servers either unfriendly nor overflowing with personality. Kinda average. The customers were definitely more fun than the employees. No food to speak of so if you are in town and just want a cold beer (or glass of wine) by all means stop in. You'll likely be glad you did.

“Cafe Buza - best way to spend your time”

I just spent a quick weekend in Dubrovnik, travelling there from London UK so we really enjoyed the view at Buza. It was recommended to us by a friend who went there during hot summer months. They were able to hang out all day and cliff jump but for us in Oct.. we jumped once into the water, it was rough waves and the water was chilly. But the view is amazing, limited menu so do not go there expecting lunch or a large variation in beverages. Nice to just go and hang out, take in the view. We loved the view so much we stayed for 4hrs, until sunset. It was great!

“Worth a stop”

We went a total of three times to the Buza with rails (follow Cold Drinks signs). We spotted both first from the city walls which helps a lot in finding them. We went both at night and for sunset. Here are my recommendations:

It won't be cheap. Beer here was amongst the priciest in town and heaven knows what the other drinks cost. But it was also probably the coldest beer we had so that helped.

Sunset is very popular so if you want a table, come early. If there are no tables, head down to the rocks below, which I think is actually better than the tables.

At night, don't bother to go unless you have good moonlight out. Without moonlight the place is pitch black and I actually started to get a slight case of vertigo going. Scary!

I didn't have any problems with the service that others had. They were always very friendly. And there is actually a toilet (though in what condition I cannot say).

“Overrated”

Should never go if you don't want to ruin your vacation. One of the watiers has a major attitude problem. When we asked him to give us change, he reluctantly gave us 5 kuna all in 10 and 20 cents. When we complained about it, he said " Dont' t you like Croatian money? Are you a racist? "..... Couldn' t believe it. Be careful. They expect tips, even though their service doesn't worth it
