We stayed here with a group of friends in September this year. The “two bed room apartment with fully equipped kitchen” was actually an entrance way with doule bed and very poorly equipped stove and sink in annex. The bathroom was acessed through the second bedroom, which itself was a split level structure, each level barely fitting a single bed. The bed in the lower level was damp, and we had to take the mattress out into the sun to dry it. The entire unit smelled musty, especially the linen. Furnishings were rudimentary at best.
The much vaunted view from the terrace is only seen over the noisy main road which separates the apartments from the sea, along with a major hotel, the Bellevue, which is more deserving of the name.
After spending one uncomfortable night at the apartment we gave the owner notice that we would be vacating the following day, rather than stay the full five nights we had booked. We paid for the two nights and moved on.
Upon our return home, the agency, booking.com, informed us that there was a full charge “no show” penalty to be paid because of our failure to check in at all. Not only is this apartment inadequate for the purpose for which it advertises itself, but also clearly operates with somewhat sloppy book keeping, to have overlooked our two night stay.
