Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Picked this hotal as friends had stayed last year and had said it was only 20 minutes on the bus from Dubrovnik old town which is true (the number 4 bus is right outside the hotel and runs every 20 minutes or so). First impressions were not that great, was very old fashioned and could have done with a make over. However, room was very clean and large, as was the bathroom. Had a lovely sea view which we paid extra for. I think if you are going to stay here it is worth doing so as i noticed that some balconies overlooked the small car park or onto a wall! No lift so had to drag our cases up the stairs - luckily we were only on the first floor. I thought i had read that the hotel had its own private beach but although the beach bit was correct i don't think it was private - you also had to pay for sunbeds which i would have thought should have been free of charge for residents. Beach area also had some rubbish on it - empty beer cans and plastic bags! Breakfast was buffet style and there was quite a good choice - cereals, cold meats, cheese, rolls and some hot food. Did the trick! Didn't have dinner in there so can't comment on the standard of that but it was quite expensive and to be honest the resturant was more school canteen than romantic! There weren't a huge amount of bars and resturants near by but we found one pedestrianised area that had a fairly good choice - come out of the hotel on the beach side and just follow the bay round to the right - about a 10 minite walk. As mentioned the big plus for this hotel is the fact that you can get to Dubrovnik so easily on the bus. You can buy your tickets in the reception, the bus stoop is right out the front and drops you off right outside the main gate into the town. Couldn't be easier. The bay the hotel is in is very pretty and we usually spent a few hours on the beach before we got the bus into town. The beach has very large stones on it so if you don't want to pay for a sunbed take something padded to lie on. If you are looking for a base to rest your head while exploring Dubrovnik this hotel is fine. Don't have a drink in the bar though - the beer there was by far the most expensive we had paid out whole holiday - something like £4 per pint compared to anything from £1.15 to £2.50 .
