I chose to stay here as it offered a good price for Dubrovnik, which was on average a pretty expensive city to stay in. The location of this hostel is good. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the old town on foot, or there are also regular buses in all directions from the main road, about 5 minutes walk from the hostel. There are also some restaurants and shops nearby which are good value and tasty! The rooms were pretty basic. This was the only place I stayed where there was no aircon, yet it was the most expensive place I stayed in the Balkans. The kitchen was closed when I was there, which was frustrating. Breakfast was not that great, but ok for free. It was mainly bread and juice. The toilets and showers were always clean but were not that great, although they did the job and there seemed to be enough for when the hostel might get busy. When I stayed there was hardly any other guests. I did not notice a common room of any sorts. There is an area on a small patio above the main door which has some tables and chairs and a place to hang washing should you need it. There were no safes and the fact that you have to share a room key with everyone who is in the room was a bit annoying.
If you're looking for luxury then don't book here, but if all you want is a very basic room to sleep in at night then it's perfect.
