This hotel has a superb location with idyllic views (if you get a sea view) but easy access to the city i.e. the best of both worlds. The food is excellent and dining in the evening is superb with the rays of the setting sun flooding the whole area. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the whole place has an atmosphere of space and peace. Although the pool area is limited you, can visit the adjacent four star hotel to use their beach with its great vistas. Boat trips to the Elephantine islands from the neighbouring jetty complete the experience.

Just returned from a short break staying at Argosy.Was ideal for what we wanted.On bed and breakfast but ate in hotel one evening and food choice excellent and value for money.Local bus service near hotel to Old Town every 15 minutes.Ok it may be busy at times but only a short journey and adds to the atmosphere of being in a foreign country.Room basic but very clean and comfy beds.Staff at hotel friendly and especially reception who were most helpful.We called into President hotel for a drink but came out after 15 minutes as no one came to serve us!!!Argost staff always there and polite.
All in all I recommend others to stay here.

The hotel is included inside a kind of complex of diferent hotels, outside the heart of Dubrovnik. However, it is well conected by bus, only 15 min away. I think the most valuable are the views over the bay, amanzing!!! Food is Ok, buffet style, and the pool is also superb. Good choice for your trip

Not a fine dining experience, very much due to the ambience in the dining room. Hotel is big, catering for tour groups, being several miles from Dubrovnik old town, most eat in hotel. If terrace is not useable because of weather the dining room becomes a scramble for seats. Noise levels can be uncomfortable. Food is OK, especially fish which is fried in front of you, but everything else is buffet. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful but service elsewhere does not stand out.
