cheap and decent bedroom are the only positives, if these are your main consideration it will serve you well. Good for short stay;1-3 days, but you will waste a lot of time walking.

It is best to ring the owner and get collected, which is free of charge. The collection was convenient for me, but also necessary as it is quite an uphill journey, and would be difficult to find.

The hostel is arranged in mini apartments, two bedrooms separated by a shared bathroom and kitchen with fridge and gas cooker.

The bedroom itself was perfect, just like a spare bedroom. Bed, socket and a bedside table, perfectly adequate. There is also a balcony with table and chairs, where you can enjoy nice views of the sunset. It is also very cheap for Croatia. These are the positives: Good bedroom, good views, kitchen and bathroom only shared with one other room. (3 in each room)

The negatives: The Bathroom was disgusting, old mosaic style tiles, covered in sand, dirt, hair, dust, mold and a collection of other living and nonliving forms of dirt that previously I was unaware existed. It was old, dirty, damp and unpleasant to be in.

The kitchen lacked cooking utensils, plates, cutlery and cups. There was certainly not enough for two people let alone the maximum of 6.

The walk to the part of Dubrovnik that we all recognise from the postcards was down hundreds of stone steps and a 25 minute walk. It really was a nuisance.

The wireless internet only works at the front of the house, where the owner lives. So you will have to congregate outside if you want to access the internet.

If you are traveling elsewhere in croatia by bus and ask for a lift to the bus station you will get stung by the owners father for 50kuna. The car was stopped 200 metres from my destination and "50kuna" was grunted by the driver. I left with the feeling that the hostel was run by a family of chancers. I would never return to this place.
