We stayed in Paradis Apartments for 6 days to visit Dubrovnik and surrounding areas, staying in Dubrovnik would have been over-priced so we opted to stay just outside.

Firstly, a car is hugely recommended as it is about a 15-20 minute drive on a busy main road into Dubrovnik. There was a family who were also staying there and didn’t have a car so spent most days around the pool! There is so much to see and do, it’s not the place to laze around the pool, go to Spain if that’s you want to do!

Our apartment was very spacious with slightly out dated décor but the stunning view made up for this, we literally gasped as stepped out onto the balcony. Very romantic.

The owners are very sweet and breakfast is very pleasant the balcony over looking the Adriatic. There is a great place to eat on the beach for a cheap eat and also a pizzeria. The village is very sweet and there are a few skinny stray cats, please feed them if you can. I always carried cat biscuits with me as I can’t bear to walk past a starving moggie!

The only downside was that we found there a lot of people staying for one or two nights and would arrive late making lots of noise, banging of doors etc so a few times we woken up at 3am then 7am when they would get up. Take ear plugs!

Overall, I fell in love with Croatia and Dubrovnik and would certainly return to Paradis Apartments.

We visited Dubrovnik for the first time and we were looking for self catering comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price and thats exactly what we got. Zaton Bay is approximately 10 km from Dubrovnik so you do really need a car. The views were amazing and the apartment was very clean, we got clean towels every day and the bedding was changed more than once a week. Paradis apartments are family run, there are two studio apartments and we stayed in one of them the rest of the accommodation are like hotel rooms with fridge, etc. The swimming pool is small but very clean again with beautiful views, there is a beach but to get to it you have to go down very steep steps alternatively there is another beach which is about a 10 minute walk.

The family who run these apartments couldn't be more friendly and helpful and make you feel very welcome. All in all we had a great time and would go back.

the owner was very helpful,thou English is limited. Breakfast very good and lots of selection. Plenty of hot water, great views, reasonably sized rooms and clean.
The location is slightly limited if you don't have a car, abut 3 restaurants. The main road is close so can catch a bus, but not much is in walking distance. The cockerel could do with being chocked, as it likes an early start !! No tea making facilities, but this seems to be the norm. no private balcony, but very large shared (other smaller rooms had private balcony)
