“A tranquil haven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2010

We greatly enjoyed our three day break in Dbrovnik which was made extra special by the charming Villa Busovina. The hotel is situated in a garden just outside of the Old City walls which means you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city and then retire to calm serenity. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well equiped with a large bathroom.
Our hosts made us feel very welcome and were very helpful with information about parking, restaurants, taxis.

“We highly recommend Villa Busovina”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

We stayed at Villa Busovina for a week & thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our hosts were friendly & always helpful with advice on restaurants & places to visit. The room was clean, comfortable & spacious with a marvelous view; in fact exactly as presented on the website. Breakfast was plentiful & good. We enjoyed the walk to the walled city (15 minutes) but a bus service is close-by.

“Spacious modern room with charming hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

My partner and I had a lovely stay at Villa Busovina. Rastko and his family couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Kitchen facilities were available and there is a shared garden with fantastic views whilst eating breakfast. The room was very modern and immaculately clean. Very comfortable king sized bed. Although the location is fantastic, it does involve a steep climb up some stone steps from the main city entrance so may be difficult for anyone with difficulty walking or mobility aids. For everyone else, its worth it for the view!

“Sitting having breakfast right now at Hotel Busovina!”

I am currenlty using my Netbook on the patio overlooking the Adriatic Sea enjoying the view and breakfast at the Hotel Busovina. I would HIGHLY recommend this darling place to anyone.

I am here with my husband and another couple and this is our third day (of four) of our trip to Dubrovnik. We drove here from Sarajevo and Mostar which is a very pleasant drive and next plan to drive to Trogir etc.

It just does not get any better than this. Our hosts are amazing, friendly, helpful, and very very nice. This is the best of the best. I would come back and stay here anytime.

If you are driving, Rastko will provide directions and you must park in a parking garage. Wonderful experience wonderful place to stay

“A quite oasis in busy Dubrovnik”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2010

My boyfriend and I stayed in Villa Busovina for 4 nights in August and we really enjoyed the stay.

We had the top floor room which was very spacious and nice with a great view down to the Old Town and the sea (through quite small windows as they had not been allowed to build a balcony since it is in a protected area). A little disadvantage though was the shower which is not very convenient if your taller than 160 cm.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome.

The breakfast is basic with cheese, ham, toast, juices and cereals - but tasty. It would have been nice with some tomatoes or cucumber and more fruit though.

About the stairs, we counted them :) There are about 205 from the old town up to the Villa so it is a perfect way to burn off the calories from eating several pizzas at the best restaurant in Dubrovnik - Oliva.

All in all we had a great stay and Dubrovnik is really lovely (but touristy).

On our last day in Croatia when we came back from Hvar we stayed in one of the luxury hotels in Dubrovnik (since villa Busovina was fully booked), and I would much rather have stayed in Villa Busovina. Both because of the service, price, location and the quiteness. The hotels in Dubrovnik are highly over priced and the people staying there are very touristy and its to much blig bling and show off for my liking.
