Arrived for our 4 night stay about 3 hours early as the one of our party was injured (no reflection on anything in Croatia). Reception was closed but called number on door and Alyssa (sorry if spelling is not correct) arrived in less than 5 mins with her cleaning team.
Alyssa and the team cleared out one of the bedrooms so my daughter could rest whilst they finished preparing the room. Alyssa was amazing she helped us move our luggage and asked what else they could do to help, nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was made ready very quickly and spotlessly clean.
2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 twin room), lovely bathroom, spacious lounge dining and kitchen area, balcony with additional dining area and clothes airer. Accommodation has complimentary wi-fi and cable tv. Kitchen is well fitted with fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee machine, kettle, microwave, cooker, dishwasher and plenty of crockery and cutlery. All rooms individually air-conditioned
Plenty of towels provided (bath, hand and face) for all 4 of us.
Washing machine provided with washing powder (in bathroom)
Balcony had a good but slightly limited view of the bay and islands but this didn't prevent us from seeing beautiful sunsets.
Alyssa offered to arrange taxis, travel guides, transfers, tours etc for us. When we booked a taxi she came out to ask the taxi driver to come directly to our room to meet us to ensure that our daughter didn't have to walk too far, an example of the fantastic service we received.
Mini market about 2 mins walk away and beach (out of complex and down the hill to the left) approx 5 to 10 mins walk away (depends on how fast you walk, and obviously takes a bit longer on the way up the hill). Beach is pebbly and charming with sunloungers, showers, cafe and watersports available.
Bus is approx 5 to 10 mins walk away (out of complex and turn right - we took a short cut via Villa Erna but probably best to find this route on your way back from the Old City). Bus you need is the number 6 for the old city which takes you right to the Pile Gates. Bus fare was 12 kun per person (free for children under 6). Route on the way in is different to return route, but you can get bus route maps at the bus info office at Pile gates if you need to work out where to get off on return route. (We took a taxi in the first day and then got bus back).
Taxis are approx 70kun to / from apartment to Pile Gate and usually plenty of taxis in the evening for your return journey.
Would definitely recommend a visit to Dubrovnik Old City on a summer evening to eat and enjoy the city. Apartments are a good choice for visiting Dubrovnik and we would definitely consider satying again if visiting Dubrovnik. Finally thank you Alyssa - your help was very much appreciated in our hour of need.
