Garden Cottages and Apartments is made up of (I think) three different apartments. We stayed in a two-bedroom one, but I've also seen the one bedroom one which seems quite nice. The apartments are less than 5 minutes walk to the main area of old Split, so are ideally located. Our two-bedroom apartment was perfect for us as we were with another couple. The bedrooms were big; bathrooms small; the kitchen was small but good enough, and there was a small sitting area outside with table and chairs. There is also a fabulous large outdoor area for the use of all guests which has a very comfortable sitting area, table and chairs for dining, outdoor oven, all set in lovely gardens. There's also a good view of the harbour, but a derelict building does detract from the view somewhat. We used the outdoor oven most nights to cook the fish or meat we'd bought in town. The owner lives nearby and was very helpful. The ambience in this place is great, and it is one of our fondest memories of our holiday in Croatia. We'd stay there again, and recommend it to anybody.

We (3 friends) stayed in the 1-bedroom cottage, a beautiful little stone house with a nice, spacious, private patio. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with everything you need for a short stay. Very quiet area, perfect location in Split. The host was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips and advise on what to do in Split. The accommodation was reasonably priced compared to other options in Split.

We chose this B&B mainly because of the reviews on the Trip Advisor. We wanted to stay just a couple of nights and during booking it looked like only economy room was available, however when we were at the B&B we did not see or hear any other guests.
You get what you pay for: economy room was tiny and dark. it looks like it used to be a laundry room in the past. we have checked other rooms while they were being cleaned and all looked better than economy room. I definitely do not recommend booking it. Pay more and get a bit more.
Also bring your own toiletries: no toiletries are provided and there is only one towel per person for a whole stay. Although you can dry them outside on the rack. No cleaning is done either if you are staying just for a couple of days.
Apartment has a good location: very close to the old city center (10mins)and close to all restaurants and pubs (5mins)
Apartment owner was friendly and helped to organize airport transfer and also advised on best places to visit when in Split.

We booked the economy apartment which was on the ground floor. Though small, the room functioned well for 2 people. The bathroom was tiny and I was able to soak my feet in the shower basin while sitting on the toilet seat! We managed to do our laundry in the shower, and hung it outside in the sunny courtyard on the provided drying rack, a real plus when you've been traveling a while. There was a pleasant shady sitting area in the garden. Nicola was very helpful, and provided us with a free taxi ride to the ferry. People who have difficulties hauling luggage uphill, would do well to phone Nicola before they arrive, so he can help with with the steep climb from the Riva and up the steps into the apartment complex. The location is close to the Riva and restaurants, but nonetheless very quiet and peaceful.
