Nothing is to much trouble for Alda to help with- this place and she as host is a breath of fresh air as a traveller!

Fairly central location north of the Old Palace in a small sidestreet. Behind the gates lies a little oasis of green with rooms around the courtyard. Landlady helpful but put me in room for 3 - one single and a double -mixed! First night this was share by 2 American girls who didn't mind, but second night it was a problem coz any couples wanted to be alone. Despite the fact the hostel was supposed to close at 9pm, a couple walked in at midnight and were shown the room by an old man. I explained that it was shared (with me) and did they mind? I also said it was rather late to arrive and just as well I wasn't in bed asleep! Following morning they left and I was told that I could stay in the mixed dorm or stay on and a pay more as they could not let the room with me in it. It then became clear that the Old Man was the neighbour who rented this room out to the Hostel and had overfilled it with beds to make a profit! He was rude and surly and didn't even respond to my greeting. Despite this, fellow guests were great so i would still recommend the place, but don't expect seclusion!

I stayed in this hostel for 1 night after I arrived in Split. The room had not been cleaned and the sheets had not been washed. I didn't even want to look at the mattress for fear I would find bed bugs or fleas.
I found the couple that runs this place to be rude and inconsiderate. Even though this place is cheap, it isn't worth a penny you spend there.

This is a hostel about 10min walk uphill from where the airport bus drops you off. Only stayed one night, but the beds were clean(6 in room), had a mini kitchen, and a small bathroom...pretty much a mini flat. For a hostel it had everything I needed...
