To be fair, it really is a city business hotel and would probably do for a one night stay. Unfortunately, we were there for 3 nights and so it was 2 nights too many. We needed a triple and were told these rooms are only at the front of the hotel, overlooking a rather busy city street. Not the end of the world but it was a bit noisy. Reception staff extremely unfriendly (I think the first hotel I've ever stayed in where they went out of their way to pretend they hadn't seen you and therefore didn't have to say 'Good morning'...extraordinary!) Breakfast room very small, although there are tables outside on a covered esplanade. Two out of three breakfasts we left the table hungry because they were very busy, with only 2 members of staff on duty, and they were very slow in replenishing everything from milk to teaspoons to juice to...well, everything! As a personal bonus, and I suppose this could happen anywhere (?) my husband found a dead bird under his bed. Reception staff were apologetic and I was pleased to see they must have spoken to housekeeping because the following day we found a duster under his bed which remained there until we checked out. As a final comment I would say there must be other places to stay in the beautiful city of Split.
