We stayed in the annex Villa Dobric for 2 nights. We would have preferred the main hotel, but the location of Villa Dobric does not disappoint, being in the old town just a minute or so from the palace walls.
The hotel is beautifully designed, modern and sleek with excellent amenities and good beds, pillows and linenes. The Villa is very quiet.
Breakfast is also excellent, having a continental breakfast at the Villa or walking over to the main building for a wonderful "real" breakfast. (Go to the main hotel and eat outside- weather permitting)
Exceptionally nice and helpful staff. Bravo on customer service.
The small size of the room was somewhat difficult and it did not have adequate room for luggage.Additionally it should be kept in mind that there is no elevator, so baggage can be a problem- although the staff is more than willing to help.Luckily we were on the second floor- so only had 2 flights of stairs.
Other reviewers have said it is hard to find and certainly has no parking. All true. But that is the price you pay to be in the old town. When we arrived by car ferry from Hvar, we simply pulled into the expensive public lot and while my husband waited with the car and too much luggage, I went in search of the hotel, which while somewhat difficult to find, at least I was not lugging my bags around.. The hotel promptly sent a bell person to help us with the luggage, show us to the Villa and take our car.No problem- and again that is the staff's response to various requests- no problem..(Make reservations for parking- it is expensive but worth it).
