Sorry my poor English.We spent a night at Bellevue on Aug 11th 2010.Temperature was about 35 degrees in day time. It was humid and hot even in night time, there were no air-conditioning.Most everybody in our groop couldn`t sleep well without air-conditioning and uncomfortable old tiny bed.We stayed in 3rd floor, most of rooms in 3rd floor has only a very tiny window high above the wall.Bathroom was old and nasty, it needs renovation.Some of tour member said had dirty towels and dirty sheets.The elevator was old and scarely.Breakfast was terrible and restaurant staff were unfriendly.Bathroom at 1st floor near by the restaurant was dirty and stinky.Location was perfect, only 5 minutes walk to Split sightseeing.If we go Split next, we won`t stay in Bellevue.

Very basic hotel and old but the rooms were clean and the shower was hot and had decent water pressure. No air con but if you opened the window and used the fan it was ok. However, I stayed there on a Friday night and it was incredibly LOUD. I got zero sleep. The noise didn't die down until after 3am. I even shut the window and that made no difference.

I travel quite a bit for both business and pleasure and this has to be one of my worst hotel experiences, ever. Don't be fooled by the beautiful exterior, the inside of this hotel is a dump left over from the communist era in need of a drastic renovation. The plumbing didn't work in the tub. The staff was incredibly unfriendly. I couldn't wait to check out. The summer rates are a complete rip-off.

The hotel is a historical building. And I think the bed is also..
We stayed one night on a hot summer day.We did not want to search for place because the next day we were going to brac island with ferry and hotel is situated on riva..(close to ferry port)
we payed something like 110 eur inluding breakfast and could not find anything 3 star.First of all there is no Air condition but a fan, and Split is hot..We said o.k. we opened the windows and breeze is good but at night drunks cheer in the square , people come and go so the noise from the street is in your room.The bed was very uncomfortable and making weird noises ..The church is very close wake up is at approxiamately at 6 o clock. Breakfast was o.k. Staff was just doing their jobs only talked when needed. No friendliness etc..It doesnot deserve the money you are going to pay in my opinion..Just the location is perfect if you are going to be around Riva..
