We stayed at the Hotel Peristil on our last night in Croatia. We returned from the islands on an early morning ferry and went straight to the hotel to drop off our luggage before meeting our guide for a tour of the city. Surprisingly, the hotel staff had a room for us within just a few minutes. They proceeded to offer us breakfast at the restaurant, even though we had not spent the previous night. We had an early morning departure for the airport the next day. Once again, the hotel staff exceeded expectations in ensuring that we were awake in time, and sent us off with a specially prepared bagged breakfast. While the hotel is aging, it is doing so well. Location is impeccable, rooms are comfortable, and the windows block most all of the noise from the busy square below. We would love to return to the Hotel Peristil if we have another opportunity to visit Split!

We did not stay in this hotel. However, we had breakfast there every morning we were in Split. For the fixed price you can order a lot of food. The quality of the food was excellent and there were many choices. The patio was a lovely setting inside the ancient Roman walls. A good value.

We stayed at the hotel as we were booked on a cruise leaving from Split. The hotel is within a very comfortable walking distance from the wharf, even with large bags. We were given a room on the top floor with views of the palace, which was very pleasant. Agree with other reviews that the rooms are small but well appointed. The major downside is that there is no lift however, the staff carry all your bags. We ate ate the restaurant and has what could only be described as the best value seafood meal we have had anywhere. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as the place to stay in Split, also given the proximity to the wharf again it would not make sense to stay anywhere else. The only minus would be that the area around the hotel tends to be noisy late at night, as there are lots of shops and businesses which close late, plus deliveries and industrial noise such as garbage removal.

We stayed for 5 nights at the Hotel Peristil. It was one of the experiences that made our visit to Split most memorable. The staff was accommodating, the food was great, the location was perfect and room was wonderful with a great view.
We were given a gift of jars of honey and some olive oil. We will certainly return to Hotel Peristil.
