I get fed up of seeing all the negative reviews on here and worrying what I'm ending up with so hopefully this more positive than negative review will help. Owners were very friendly and recommended places to eat out and visit. The booking confirmation hadn't noted we needed to phone the owner on arrival however, so we were hanging around outside for a while ringing the door bell only to find out when I rang that they didn't live at the porperty! Just a small glitch though and someone was with us within 5 mins.
The guesthouse is more like a mini hostel I'd say - 3 rooms that can accommodate 3 people each and 2 bathrooms to share - one alot nicer than the other (houses a washing maching which the owners put to go at 10pm one night which isn't desparately late but I'm a light sleeper and we were leaving early the next day for our flight).
Only 20 mins walk from the centre and even closer to the forest/beach area - great location. Supermarket is only 50 meters down the road. Also on a main bus route but we didn't feel the need to use this.
Shared kitchen is stocked with all the dishes, crockery, pots + pans necessary and internet access is free on the PC provided although this did crash a few times.
Lovely shaded garden outside but we didn't use this as we were more interested in exploring.
Split is a great city and for the money, this is a good place to go although I suppose alot could depend on the others sharing the appartment - we were the only ones there the 2 nights we stayed.
