One of the most rewarding accommodations I have ever stayed at. In the order of my enjoyment, the 5 km walk right to the edge of the city centre, a first class apartment in a quiet suburb of the beautiful and compact city of Split. The walk takes you right along the Adriatic coast on a well maintained pavement. (Apartmani M’s brochure allows you 30 minutes, that’s for class-A joggers I think). Fairly quiet during the week, nice crowd including the Croatian beauties during the week-end. The apartment is custom built and almost brand new, with helpful employees Iris and Blanka fluent in English and German respectively.There is a large supermarket at 300 meters, with a bus stop right in front, that helps on a rainy day. In the immediate surroundings there is little to do, for some a possible understatement. Not a place to take the kids. If you hate public transport (Split’s is excellent) or like to be nicely in the room a fair part of the day, find a place that suits you better. Now a pensioner often travelling solo, during my working life I moved about quite a bit with hotel stars galore. These fine Apartmani M lodgings, the walking pleasure plus beautiful Split and surroundings, I hope to be able to return a good many times.
