Got a taxi to there from the airort - cost 300 Kuna.
We had only booked to stay at Room Nevena for one night.
Arrived at a big house - but couldn't see any signage that it was 'Rooms Nevena'.
Woman came out of the apartments to meet and greet us from the taxi - I tried to confirm that this was Room Nevena and she said is was and that she had tried calling me to find out where I was (which my mobile phone had no record of...). She told us her place was full (as due to our late arrival - 9pm, which isn't late really), and resultantly she had rented out the room to other people. She showed us a map of where we were and where her friend was going to put us up in an apartment for the night. She reassured us this was a good deal and recommended some restaurents and bars, etc. Her friend collected us and drove for around 10 mins to the other apartment - which was near Restaurant Boban and the Firule tennis courts. Her friend seemed like a nice guy but didnt speak any English. The room turned out to be a cosy little room near the sea - and a straight walk to the harbour. It was clean and had a nice balcony. Paid the guy 50 Euro for the night - in cash. This whole arrangement felt a little weird, but the Croatian people involved were friendly enough and although this seemed unusal it felt fairly safe and secure.
