This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and was my first meal in Croatia... I don't want to judge a country by one restaurant.
The servers were VERY friendly and smiling and made some jokes which was enjoyable, but the food was mediocre.
The black ink risotto was NOT like typical risotto, it was like regular rice in a runny black fishy broth. The gnocci was doughy and heavy, the pork steaks in sauce was ok, the mashed potatoes were good and the grilled fish and stuffed peppers were both good. Nothing was great, nothing had great flavour, the whole meal was very heavy and clunky. It was like eating a home cooked meal by a novice cook. But the risotto really just left a odd taste in my mouth and just did not sit right.
