Fantastic hotel, very spacious rooms and in a good spot in the city(center). Very nice staff who did speak good English and Russian ;-)

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2011.

The hotel is well presented and tastefully decorated.

Reception staff were very helpful, spoke good English and arranged taxi's for us. We found this very helpful as neither of us spoke Russian or Ukranian, typical Brits abroad I'm afraid!!

We found Odessa to be a fascinating but very Russian city - not that is a bad thing I hasten to add - but it does mean you get the occasional bit of Soviet Union style customer service ( tutting waitresses when you don't reply in Russian, for example)

As far as the hotel is concerned we had no complaints at all, would recommend.

This three-star hotel offers clean, quiet, comfortable accommodation close to most of the main city centre attractions. There's no restaurant, so breakfast is room service (it comes at the time requested but is not great - just about acceptable), or you get a voucher to take breakfast in a local restaurant (we did not try this). The rooms are more spacious than many similarly-starred western European hotels. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom (shower only) was 'bijou' but everything worked OK. We found the staff very helpful and polite. Odessa in July is rather 'Blackpool hosts Essex man' (an allusion probably only understood by Brits), best summed up by the audience at the famous opera house happily using camera flash equipment and clapping along with the music - at a performance by the Bolshoi ballet!! (The management eventually told them to desist). The Potemkin steps will disappoint anyone who has seen the film. My wife reports good shopping opportunities (my credit card supports this statement).

The hotel meets most of the international standards (for smaller hotels). Each and every detail is well-thought. Staff is very friendly, the hotel & rooms are perfectly clean and have excellent condition, location is great - you can get to the famous Theatre by foot in 5-10 mins. There is a good choice of restaurants & bars in the vicinity (just nextdoor). But... slow and unstable wi-fi connection, relatively small bathroom without bath (only shower).
