The rooms and service were fine. They were clean and very "Western" in the sense that the shower actually worked!
However, prostitution is rampant in Odessa and this hotel was no exception. When I got off the elevator on my floor, there was a young woman sitting in a chair by the elevator - and she asked me if I wanted companinship for the night. She then added it was only $100 USD. I turned her down, saying that my wife (soon to join me in the room) would "probably not like it". I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning, but the same woman was on our floor again that night.

To sum up shortly:

*Very modern and clean

*Our semi suite was huge and luxurious

*Nice breakfast - a very firm and nice lady served us directly when we arrived at breakfast, each morning

*VERY good service, with very helpful, english-speaking staff

*The location of the hotel is good, if you arrive or leave by train, and in ok distance to the beach. But a bit too far away from the city-centre.

*Not the nicest area when it was dark, but not necessarily dangerous

*Good facilities, with bar, restaurant, sauna, modern gym, beauty-salon etc

*Internet area, with two computers avaliable. A bit slow connection, and internet is often unavailable

*You have your own secretary! Since it`s a hotel on top of a business-building they have a secretary who can handle things for you, such as booking of train- and airtickets. The queue at the trainstation is unbearable, so it`s worth it to pay extra by using her.
