I had rented an apartment for almost a month but the last three days there was a water problem and I and my Russian girlfriend were desperate to find a place for the last three days and this was the only hotel with a room available and we took it sight unseen. Our apartment had been a block from Deribaskaya which is the main area of Odessa tourist trade. God was on our side. The hotel had beautiful grounds, great food (like a cake with a bar of music written in icing) and great service. I once was a serious tennis player and had my rackets with us but we never played once on the two clay courts because it turns out that we were right next to Arkadia which is an arcade BUT with dozens of GREAT all night discos. WOW. The club dancers were the best I have seen anywhere in the world and they played music from everywhere even from Latin America!!! You can play tennis in the morning, eat poolside, sunbathe, swim, dance all night in the discos then walk on the beach which touches Arkadia as the sun comes up over the Black Sea. WOW Finally, because of Arcadia, there are several million taxis allways lined up by the hotel and you can therefore travel easily to any area of Odessa 24/7. WOW

Was in Odessa for business for 3 days, decided to stay in Arcadia Plaza. Hotel is located in Arcadia (summer resort, a bit outside the city center), has it's owned guarded terytory and looks quite impressive from the outside. Rooms are quite big with air conditioning, TV and huge bath. WIFI works only in the reception and costs 10 USD per hour. Quite a small hotel and I had an overall impression that it has been like family-run (as in the breakfast room waiter was asking me what I want (there was almost nothing at the buffet) and they did an excelent job preparing me a poreage and full english brakfast at request). Overall was quite happy to stay there. Will recoomend it if you want to be close to sea resort, hovewer be prepared that it is about 15 minutes drive from the city center.
