As per the pictures on this site the hotel looks impressive with ornate central stairwell.
Check in was ok, but check out was very painful! they send someone to your room to double check what you said you took in the minibar was true. Yesterday a collegue of mine took 15 mins waiting. This morning I asked to be checked out and went to breakfast to give them time... however even though the hotel was empty no one came to ask me about coffee or food, i had to get up and ask someone to help me. Eventually my cappacino came but after 15 minutes no sign of my omlette so gave up!!
As mentioned by another reviewer, TV has 60 channels and non in english / french / italian / german.
Rooms are VERY spacious, with old style high ceilings... big comfy bed and flatscreen TV at the other end of the room (sound piped to the bathroom).
The shower (not seperate but in the bath) is poor, i am average height but even I had to stretch to reach up to adjust and direct it, wasnt very powerful and just warmish water.
Hotel was really empty, quite spooky walking in the empty corridors!
Even though hotel empty the staff were not that good and attentive, lady at check in and guy at check out = good, but the rest = poor, had to asked to be served while they just chatted amoungst themselves.
Overall ok stay but expensive for what you get.
