Nice eastern hotel, everything works fine, the garden is nice and service mainly friendly - one of the receptionists was though quite ignorant which in fact made her funny. Hotel is near the beach (long stairs) and about 15 min walk from old city centre. Also good spot to go to the Arcada beach (with tram 5). I would recommend to travelers some russian lessons before going to Odessa. Nearby very nice restaurant: Alexandrovskviy. Rating for hotel: four stars within three stars.

Absolutely loved this hotel. We were struggling to find somewhere after being double booked at a nearby "novelty" beach hotel and came across Hotel Lermontovsky on the internet.

The room was of a really good standard for Eastern Europe and its only a five minute walk to the beach. Its around a 20 minute walk to the centre of Odesa.

We've travelled all over Eastern Europe and although it doesn't have the amenities you would expect as 'standard' (english speaking channels, tea/coffee making facilties, mini bar) it is a good base in pleasant surroundings in a country which is very new to tourism. We didn't try the restaurant however breakfast was fine.

The only down side of the stay was the rudest receptionist in Ukraine! What an unpleasant individual she was! However the rest of the staff were lovely and really helpful. If we return to Odesa, I will most definitely be choosing the Lermontovskiy Hotel again.
