“great hotel!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

I stayed last October in this beautiful hotel in a week that rained almost every day so I stayed a lot of the time inside reading in my room and resting from the city. They gave me a great room that had the bedroom on the second floor and the tv room and bathroom in the first and my first impression was wow!! It makes you feel like you are part of La Antigua with all the comforts of a boutique hotel. The shower was amazing with hydro massage which I don't use but it is a nice feature. The only thing I would add is wifi connection that reaches the rooms. The only good connection is in the lobby and that is fine, but it would be nice if you want to chill in your room and send some emails or browse the web. I had two nights booked and I ended up staying for three. This is a great hotel at a great price, glad I found it!

We stayed here for 3 nights and had thanks to the hotel and staff the most wonderful days of our vacation. The room is very spacious and luxurious with great eye for detail. the centre of Antigua is in walking distance. It is absolute clean and nothing is too much.
We will recommend the hotel to anybody! The quality you get is much more the price you pay!

Room Tip: we had room 1 which is divided in two floors and sleeps to four. Very good for a family of party of...

“Charming place, Charming owners”

When our plans for accommodations in Antigua changed at the very last minute, we found a positive listing for this hotel on TripAdvisor. We contacted the owner only half a day before our arrival. He was patient, kind and helpful. Our expectations were exceeded upon arrival. We arrived on a Sunday, tired and without any Quetzales. The owners invited us to lunch at the hotel and made us feel immediately at home.

The rooms are very clean and well-decorated. The water is ALWAYS hot and with excellent pressure (no lukewarm dribbles in this hotel!). The staff and owners consistently provided above-standard professional and friendly service, including bringing tea to our room, washing our shoes after a difficult volcano climb, and offering tips and suggestions for exploring Antigua. We were able to leave our luggage in a safe place at the hotel while we traveled for several days to Lake Atitlan. In different circumstances, we might have been worried about this--but the owners are so trustworthy we did not give it a second thought.

Enclosed parking is just down the street and free. The hotel is a walkable distance from the center. The rooms are well-insulated from any noise on the streets. The ambiance inside the hotel is colonial and calming.

Please try this relatively new hotel on your visits to Antigua--the owners have done such a lovely job of creating a beautiful space for travelers, and we wish them every success in the future.

“Great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 March 2011

Stayed 3 nights at EuroMaya and really enjoyed it. The hotel, owned and run by a young couple, is very new - less than a year old - and is only 10 mins' walk from the city center and right by the artisans' market. The rooms are spacious and clean. If you're lucky enough to get room #6, you'll enjoy a huge space (2 beds) with a cathedral ceiling and a large private balcony. Breakfast is more generous than the usual continental fare - a good start to a day of exploring. And Renato and his wife also run a travel agency - they arranged an overnight trip for us to Monterrico and got a discount for the resort we stayed at there. Had a great stay there and would definitely return!

“Gorgeous place. Terrific staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2011

Spent 3 great nights here in a big, beautiful, well-decorated room with very comfortable beds and a balcony overlooking the hotel's quaint interior courtyard full of tropical plants. The staff were very, very friendly and helped us book a very nice room in Monterrico. (They run a travel agency by the same name and got us a bit of a discount on the Monerrico room.) Good breakfast buffet, too, prepared by their very friendly cook. I'd say the only minor downside is, it's not as close to the central square as some other places, but really, Antigua's so tiny that it really doesn't make much difference. You probably save a few bucks for walking the extra couple picturesque blocks. Very good value.
