We spent three nights at Hotel Cirilo and will certainly return someday (especially because Antigua is such a charming and wonderful city).
Ricardo and Lucky (that explains the review title) were absolutely incredible hosts, and the entire staff at the hotel is terrific. Everyone here truly goes out of their way to accommodate their guests...I felt privileged to be one of their guests.

As others have mentioned, the hotel is a good ten minute walk to the center of town, but the entire town is so beautiful, that the walk is a thing of joy. Ladies, definitely don't bring heels, as this city is all cobble stone...just one of the reasons it's so charming.

Hotel Cirilo is modern and clean and the grounds are very special, integrated naturally into ruins from another time. Breakfasts are great, and the one dinner we had at the hotel was terrific, like a meal right from mom's kitchen (your Guatemalan mom's that is).

Ricardo has created a contemporary and relaxing sanctuary and seems to have made it a priority to treat his guests like royalty...or even better...like family. Thanks to the beautiful Cirilo team for all of their smiles and care!

We stayed in Hotel Cirilo for 3 nights, from outside you really do not see much but once you are inside it is a different story breathtaking grounds set among ruins.Ricardo to owner is a real professional who knows how accommodate the guests. We had a great time and definitely would go back again.

My new wife was almost speechless when she saw this place.... and let me tell you that is saying a lot! The hotel was so well manicured and had the perfect balance for rustic and new. The service and hospitality was impeccable.

I traveled from California to Guatemala in April. I booked Cirilo on the advice of a friend who was there at Christmas. This place is amazing. 7 beautiful rooms overlooking a courtyard. Wide open space, great rooms with high ceilings. Quiet. Peaceful. Very spa like in a simplistic, elegant way. The hotel is about 800 meters from Park Central - a pleasant walk or you can take a tuk tuk, which the hotel will arrange, for about $2.00 US.

The food is excellent and very reasonably priced - better priced than many lesser restaraunts in the area.

I had been up since 4:30 having taken an early flight from Flores to Guatemala City. I expected to just drop my bags and come back at check in time. It was only 10:00 a.m. but room was ready and they let me right in and helped me get situated. The kitchen put together a beautiful early lunch for me.

This place has it all - what put it over the edge for me was the incredible staff and customer service from the manager and owner. They are amazing,
