The group that I travel with to Guatemala always requests a stay at Casa Ovalle. After staying in some okay but not-so-great places, Casa Ovalle is a welcome treasure! Nice clean rooms, rooftop seating area, views of the volcanoes, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast every morning and nice touches like fresh flowers in the rooms. All within 2 blocks of the central square and at a great price!

Just couple of blocks from the square, but yet The Casa Ovale is a very quiet place . The room was beautiful, & very clean, the Large Patio with flowers , the breakfast so good and pleasantly served with smile the staff and the service was number one

Just returned from a stay at Casa Ovalle, you can't beat it for the price, we had a large room with a sitting area. As noted by previous reviews it's only a couple of blocks from the square, walking to everything was not a problem. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome.

This small B&B/guest house has the amenities of larger hotels, without the price, fuss, noise or waiting-in-lines. If you are looking for a comfortable base for travel in the highlands I highly recommend this hotel. It is charming, the service fine and unobtrusive, the breakfasts generous and included in the lodging fee. It is only a couple of blocks off the main plaza and convenient to shops, the market, the museums and more.
