I stayed here twice . They could do so much better! They have a lovely roof terrace where they could serve breakfast and make much prettier; Instead it feels unkempt; that is if you are even shown it is there !
The rooms are ok . No great views from any rooms. The first room I stayed in was a twin room and as I was on my own I paid $45. The window opened out to the interior patio and was quite dark. The bathroom was spacious and the water in the shower and wash-hand basin was hot .This was room 5.. The wi-fi worked well. Breakfast the next morning consisted of a black coffee ( no milk offered) 2 pieces of brown raisin toast, butter, jam and two pieces of fruit.
While I was here I booked and paid for a room for two weeks in advance, which would be on my way to the airport, I also asked them and it was agreed that they would book me a shuttle for the airport the following day for $10. However, when I arrived they had not booked the shuttle and despite trying a few places at my insistence, it seemed that all the shuttles at $10 per head , which I had been promised, were full so I felt I had no choice but to agree to them ordering a private taxi, costing $35 . I paid this to the hotel and have no idea how much commission they got paid for this, if any. It just made me sad that they had said they would order me a shuttle and then did not. There was no apology . In fact the receptionist tried phoning a couple of places while I was there and then said she would try some more later. When I went down to reception 2 hours later she had not tried any other places
They did give me breakfast earlier than advertised.
If you do book this accommodation I would recommend that you re-confirm any arrangement you think you have made and check for bed bugs ( that goes for anywhere). There was also a dog barking most of the night which sounded as if it was directly below my room. take earplugs !
This place has so much potential ; the staff are friendly but it feels as if it is only 'skin deep' .
