My most recent visit to the Hermano Pedro was less satisfactory than earlier ones.
The rooms are the same as always: clean and with hot water, but noisy due to the amount of tile and other hards surfaces, as well as loose-sealing doors and windows. The buffet-style breakfast was fine.
The service was noticeably worse. There was no pure water in the rooms this time around. Although the rooms have televisions, there were only a handful of channels, all in spanish. Gone are the days of catching up on the world with BBC news or CNN international.
There are now phones in each of the rooms, but I was unable to get an outside line. When a phone message was left for me at the desk the attendant only gave me half of the information. I was to meet my party at 630 pm on a busy Friday evening at the Central Park (which is the size of a city block). Neglected to pass on where my party would be waiting.
