My husband and I reserved our hotel months in advance. We arrived a day early and they were able to accommodate us with the same style room. We paid for a suite with a jacuzzi and private garden. The garden was nice but nothing to brag about. The jacuzzi took 30 minutes to 45 minutes to fill 1/2 way...by that time the water was luke warm. If you are looking for a hot tub..this is not it. But the place was beautiful. The hotel was very charming, cozy, intimate and made us feel like we were in a foreign place (which we love). We stayed there for New Years. They have a 2nd floor where they provided drinks for everyone, a live band, a bar with a patio and we can see all the fireworks all over Antigua. There restaurant is very nice too. Beautiful enough to have a wedding dinner rehearsal. The food is not expensive and the meals were delicious. I was not happy about them not having hand made tortillas. They called the pharmacy and had them deliver medication to the room. They serviced our room whenever we needed. We looked at Hotel Atitlan (more for families with kids) and San Domingo (The hotel is bigger and not as intimate - but we might try staying there next time - it's more expensive). Other than that, I couldn't imagine another hotel better than these. The manager was very nice and friendly. Most of the receptionists speak English. Overall, we had the best experience here.
Room Tip: I only stayed in the suite. I could have done without the jacuzzi tub and garden and would have pref...
