I traveled to Nantucket in April with a colleague. I stayed at the Vanessa Noel Hotel for a couple of days. I was so pleased with the courteous service that Maydene the hotel manager, and Jennifer ( on the staff) gave to me. The two of them were so wonderful and accommodating to me and my colleague.

Both of them are a true asset to the hotel!

The Vanessa Noel Hotel is a rare find. It has wonderful appointments like a European hotel. If you are not renting a house on Nantucket your other choices are usually guest rooms in small hotels that resemble drab and musty attic bedrooms in your great aunt's house. They usually need a complete re-do. The Vanessa Noel Hotel rooms are fresh, white and chic!

I have stayed at both Vanessa Noel Hotel and the Green Hotel. They are both fantastic. Most Nantucket inns look like the victims of toile/floral bomb explosions. The VNH hotels have a cool, comfortable look without sacrificing all the amenities one would expect on vacation -- great bedding and towels, fabulous bath products, etc. The staff at the hotels are simply the best: always accommodating, helpful and friendly. The place is spotless clean and located right in the heart of town, steps away from the best restaurants and bars on-island. All in all, a great find. Looking forward to my next stay there.

I am writing this review as i have been surprised at the negative comments and wanted to describe my experience. I have been coming to Nantucket for over 20 years and since the VNH opened ion the Summer of 2002, have been staying there exclusively, either for weekend trips or extended vacations. And i keep coming back year after year, relaxed and refreshed, after staying at a beautiful understated beachy chic and very romantic hotel.
the whole atmosphere is calm and relaxing, it is in an excellent location, combined with a modern designed room and attentive and responsive service. I feel the management has been warm and caring and professional and i have had the opportunity to receive from them unforgettable and efficient attention.
Nantucket is a wonderful island and VNH is a perfect place to stay.
I have recommended it to friends, couples, who have also experienced a wonderful time.
