Hotel was fabulous! It was close enough to public transit, beach, center of town, and all the amazing restaurants! Did not have to take a cab, everything was within walking distance. Hosts were friendly and accommodating!

Mgt was very cordial. Garden was great for discussions and breakfast. Room and bath were small but adequate. Breakfast spread was extra special. Room was clean. Overall maintenance was lacking: ceiling fan in #6 and #7 didi not operate properly. Carpets up and down were need of attention. MY wife detected a foul smell in bath wheras I did not.

We found the Island Reef a pleasant place to stay. Our rooms were clean and adequate. not huge, but it certainly met our needs. We booked late so had to share a bath but it worked out just fine especially for the price. The owners were pleasant but kept to themselves. I am used to a little more interaction with them, but it was fine. We had 2 rooms on the 3rd floor and we felt comfortable up there although for anyone older the steps are steep and narrow. The towels were so soft and white! Breakfast was filling and we sat outside in the garden with our glass of wine/or breakfast each day.

I have stayed at the Island Reef several times over the last few years and have enjoyed my stay each and every time. The staff is warm, welcoming and very helpful. The serve a continental breakfast with fresh baked goods in the morning and have a a beautiful patio/garden where you can relax for breakfast, lunch or a snack. I can't wait to plan my next trip!
