When we arrived here the innkeeper was in the downstairs - she showed us to our room and we never saw anyone again until we left (a day early). However, we knew they were there (the inn serves as a family home) by the piano practice that took place for an hour each evening around 6PM. Since this is an old house, and, as other reviewers have pointed out the walls are thin this was a front row seat to an unwanted concert. Attempts to reach someone by ringing the bell in the downstairs were unanswered. The next day there was a bowl of grapes on the table for breakfast - from 8:30 until 9AM no food or people. We went out. The next day there was breakfast - however the fruit was just dumped into bowls, and two of the bread items had mold. Toilet in room was very cracked, room was small (which would have been ok if that was the only issue) and the innkeepers were absent. If this is all you can afford or find on Nantucket do yourself a favor and make it a day trip.

Again, just ok. The beds were the hardest I have ever experienced. Innkeeper/staff were never around and when there, not friendly, always rushed. Decent breakfast though.

Safe Harbor is a convenient walk from the ferry and into town, and puts out a nice breakfast. However, it is located near a popular party spot and the noise is not conducive to sleep before midnight if your room faces the street, as ours did. Also, our room was not cleaned during our three day visit, towels were not exchanged, and there was no innkeeper in evidence with whom to discuss this. Perhaps they have other jobs that are more pressing - not a typical B & B experience.

Great location - close to town, Brant Point, Jetties beach. Cute rooms. Very clean. Nice morning spread for breakfast. Felt like I was at home, not at a strange hotel. Staff very kind and accommodating. Best deal going on ACK. Can't wait to go back there in a month!
