This is a B&B without the breakfast. Instead, they give you coupons which are good at 2 local restaurants. We thought this was a benefit, so that instead of getting the typical continental breakfast served at Nantucket B&Bs, we could get a hot breakfast and pay just a bit more. (The French toast at Arno's is outstanding.) However, if you like having a common breakfast room where you can meet other guests, this is not the right place for you. Also, the owners of the B&B are quite elderly, and we never saw them. However, their daughter, who seems to be the only help, was there most of the time we were around and was very friendly and advised us about transportation, etc. She even gave us a ride to the ferry boat when all the taxis were unavailable. The rooms are suites, with a living room and bedroom, and the bathrooms have been modernized. The air conditioner was located in the living room, and while it was sufficient to cool the bedroom, it wouldn't have worked if the bedroom door was closed. We didn't need to close the door, but I suspect that with the island breezes at night opening the windows n the bedroom would have been fine. The inn is right in downtown, easily walkable to everything, but on a side street so that noise was not a problem.
